Cheerful Moments Mini

Since I've been so swamped with work, I thought I would have more bits of time to work on a mini here and there than whole scrap pages, so that's what I've done in bits and pieces of time lately.  I just gathered some of my favorite things and threw them all together.  I can add lots more pages and plan to add some of all four of the dogs :)  Hope you had a great weekend!  Melissa

Phoebe...

My beautiful, sweet Phoebe has cancer and I've been taking more pictures of her to remember her.  She has an englarged heart as well, so it's not much longer now and I'm savoring every moment with her.  She's so sweet and has been the best dog I've ever had.  I love her so much.

I've been tags lately, but not doing anything with them.  So I made this layout last night.

Beautiful

Hello!  I bought an Instax before Christmas so we could take lots of instant pictures while Sara was home from college.  We were experimenting with the settings on my Pom, Sadie.  Sara and I were laughing because she kept sitting still and posing for me and smiling while I took all these flash pictures :)   Love them so  much!

Here's a link to Lisa's blog, Remember the Good Times, that has the info on the Paper Issues challenge that I went with on this one.

Give it a shot.  Tell me if you did and I'll go see your entry!

Before I pack them up...

I thought I'd post my favorite Christmas crafts I've made - most of these came from one year of binge-crafting!  There are instructions for the stocking banner and picture ornaments in 2008 on the right side of the blog.  Before I pack them up, here they are!

Hobby Lobby had these cute wooden stocking plain wood ornaments that I made into this garland.

I loved making these houses!!  I need to make a few more...

Made an ornament of Sara and Emily when they were little in a little winter scene :)

Made these with rub-ons and little beads in this nifty-shaped ornament from Hobby Lobby..

Makes me want to get crafty again!  Well, that's it!  Thanks for looking!

Here We Go!

Oh, my, I'm so in love with My Mind's Eye Charmed pocket page gold cards!  Lovely!  Also love the Amy Tan words and dies.  The title are the foam words and the XOXO and "Love" are from her new thin dies.  Documenting a day at the lake with the girls and their friends when DH brought them a jet ski to play with.  Thanks for looking!

I linked up with The Memory Nest Crafty Creation links.  Go link your stuff there and see other's work!

Full of Giggles :)

I've had this one sitting around in the dining room forever - I started it, stopped it and then just let it sit!  Was glad to get it all finished up last night and this morning.  Just some fun pictures of Sara and her friend Grace.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a great Monday!

Friends Card - Trying out Gellatos

So I finally got my hands on some Gellatos.  I've been really inspired by Debby Hughes lately.  She makes the loveliest cards.  Her blog is www.limedoodledesign.com.  I wanted to try my hand at one and love the way it turned out.  I'm definitely messier than Debby is.  Anyway, applied gesso to white cardstock then spritzed it with my new spritzer and let it drip down.  Then I embossed "Friends" and some splotches on the front in gold on vellum, sewed the vellum to the Gellatoed cardstock, and added my new feather die and some thread.

I linked this card up with Case Study Challenge #176 - go see all the pretty cards there...

I would love to find more cardmakers like Debby.  Who inspires you on cards?  I need more eye candy :) Thanks for looking!

Always Remember - a Mini Book

Good morning!  Crate Paper sent a box of stuff that included this mini book I've been wanting very much!  It's been nice working on it a little at a time when I get a chance.  The bling thing in the middle of the front page was picked up at the craft store in the sewing section, and the frame was in the dollar bin.  I just took off the back of it and hot glued it on.  Love it.  The ribbon came from a gift my mom sent so that's nice to have that on there.

The clear cover is a heavy-weight plastic with "Always Remember" at the bottom corner and has  gold-dotted vellum underneath - so pretty!

This book will be a mish-mash of baby pictures and current teen pictures, whatever picture I grab that strikes my fancy.  We have a big box of pictures from when the girls were little, just thrown in all jumbled up from before I went digital, and I'm glad to be doing something with them.

I love the ones below.  I was just going through that box of jumbled pictures as well as some current ones back from the printer.  I noticed that Sara had the same expression as a baby and a teen in both pictures so wanted to scrap them together :)

Well, thanks for looking.  It's definitely one I'll keep working on here and there and will share more in the future.  Have a great day!

P.S.: I'm going to experiment with some link parties I've found and see what happens.  Here are the buttons for them:
